- KK ULTRA jaws have been developed based on scientific research. They obtain their unique and precise effect thanks to the special angle of 45° of the central break. These bits can be used worldwide, in all disciplines and at all training levels.
Compared to traditional jaws, the central joint has been shortened and inclined by 45°. This anatomical adaptation significantly optimizes the effect compared to usual double-jointed bits. When contact is made on the reins, the central part - also called a "diamond" due to its striking shape - gently rolls over the central part of the horse's tongue, stimulating his sense of touch. In summary, the horse's sensitive mouth offers little space for a bit. This space must be used by anatomical adjustments so that the rider can benefit from comfortable and effective assistance.
The elevator action rings emit pressure on the tongue, lower jaw, and neck. This action allows the rider to gain better control of horses that tend to escape upward and forward. The horse reacts to neck pressure mainly by lowering the head.
For the pessoa, the leverage effect is even more significant due to the length of the side part of the bit. The optimal effect is achieved by using two pairs of reins. The main reins in the large middle ring act on the tongue and lower jaw, the second pair of reins on the bottom ring can exert pressure on the head. This use requires a rider with an experienced and sensitive hand.
