The Beris brand 2 straight leather ring bit allows you to obtain constant, stable and symmetrical contact. It helps with making contact and is intended more for horses having difficulty tensing with articulated bits. The right barrel exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, while freeing the palate. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will allow the horse to gain confidence in his mouth, to settle down and tense up. The soft resin encourages the horse to tense up. A light contact of the horse on its bit will help to improve the horse's locomotion through the engagement of the hindquarters. The soft barrel is ideal for sensitive horses who need to rest lightly on the hand.

Loose rings provide gentle contact toward the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to the fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limits excessive tension.

Leather: Beris leather bits are made of vegetable tanned leather and hand-stitched. Leather is a very pleasant natural material for the horse which stimulates chewing and salivation. Leather helps avoid cold contact (unlike some metal bits). The production of saliva softens the leather and makes it more pleasant for the horse.
